When Ford 6 cylinder engines are upgraded its normally the carburettor, manifold, cam shaft, exhaust system and the cylinder head are the main things considered. Many people over look the ignition. If your engine is running more efficient with improved induction that charge needs to be burnt and an improved upgraded ignition system should seriously be considered.
Severe duty ICE distributors are available for all popular V8 and 6 Cylinder engines.
Every ICE distributor features a CNC machined 6061 aircraft grade aluminium body, hardened and precision centreless ground 4130 chromoly shaft, high temperature upper roller bearing and oil impregnated sintered iron lower bush. Triggering via accurate and reliable Hall Effect vane sensor unaffected by dirt, moisture or vibration, HEI style distributor caps featuring brass terminals for long service life under extreme operating conditions.
Most distributors are available in a choice of large or small cap and with either Spheroidal Graphite Iron, Silicon Impregnated Bronze drive gears.
Note: The use of an ignition control module box is required when using this type of distributor
